AOK! FITNESS CHILDCARE INFORMATION (Updated September 29, 2011)

CHILDREN MUST BE ATTENDED, THEREFORE A RESERVATION IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES REGARDLESS OF THE AGE OF YOUR CHILDREN, THANK YOU!

For your convenience, supervised childcare is available during the following hours:

ñ8:45am – 10:30am AND 5:45pm - 8pm

A reservation is required at all times – day and evening.  Please call BEFORE 8am for a morning reservations and BEFORE 4pm for an evening reservations.

 Making an online childcare reservation:

ñLog into “Mail”

            User Name: aok_kids@sbcglobal.net

            Password: childcare

ñClick the “Calendar” option on the left hand side

ñClick “Add Event” and fill in the following:  Child's name (under title), Start & End Date/Time of Reservation (please double check before saving).

ñSave your reservation 

AOK! Fitness childcare costs:  Minimum fee is $2 per hour for each child attending.  No exceptions. 

(If your spouse picks up your kids after 20 minutes, you must pay the childcare employee the minimum fees.) 

 Cancelling a reservation:  AM Childcare reservations must be cancelled by 8am and PM childcare reservations by 4pm. 

 Unsupervised childcare:  No children are permitted unsupervised in AOK! Fitness' childcare room.  Please make a reservation by telephone or online for our childcare staff.  NOTE:  You must pay the childcare staff the minimum fees whether or not you made a reservation. 

 Parents on the premises:  The State of Ohio requires parents to remain on the AOK! Fitness premises AT ALL TIMES, NO EXCEPTIONS.  We provide childcare so that your children have a safe place to stay while you exercise at the studio.  You cannot drop your children off and leave the premises for any reason. 

 Safety issues:  Please be advised that children are not permitted to handle weights and/or equipment, assist in set-up or clean-up of exercise equipment or be in any of our exercise rooms.  For their safety and insurance reasons, children are only permitted in our childcare area. 

 Food issues:  Due to the commonness of food allergies in children, we ask that you not send your child into the childcare room with food or drink.

 Length of childcare: The State of Ohio requires that childcare not exceed two hours.  No exceptions. 

 Bringing children other than your own:   AOK! Fitness strongly discourages you from bringing children other than your own to the studio.  If you do bring a child other than your own, AOK! Fitness requires you to bring parent/legal guardian authorization for that child.  AOK! Fitness reserves the right to deny child care services should you not have this authorization form. 

 Release of children to spouse/authorized adult:  In an effort to keep all children in our childcare room safe, AOK! Fitness asks that you tell the front desk staff if your child will be leaving with someone other than you.  Your spouse/authorized adult MUST check in with the front desk staff, first, before picking up your child/children.  No unauthorized persons will be permitted to leave with children under any circumstances!

 Sick children:  Please do not bring your children to AOK! Fitness if they have had a fever within the last 24 hours, any communicable illness or show symptoms: excessive coughing, thick yellow/green mucous, etc.  Hand Sanitizer, Lysol and wipes are provided and the childcare room is cleaned and disinfected frequently. 

 Small children:  The childcare staff of AOK! Fitness will not change diapers, assist children in using the restroom or allow a small child to continuously cry for longer than 15 minutes.  Please note that you will be asked to leave class and tend to your child for any of these situations.
